Lead DevSecOps Engineer

Location: Remote within the United States; candidates must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and perform all work in the U.S. U.S. citizenship and having lived in the U.S. for three of the last five years are required. Contractual restrictions may apply to foreign locations, foreign IP addresses, and personal VPN connections.

Salary: $119,323–$202,850 annually for full-time employment.

What you will do

• Lead platform engineering, DevSecOps, SRE, infrastructure provisioning, and core cloud platform operations.
• Implement and maintain secure, scalable, resilient cloud environments and approved architecture and security patterns.
• Direct CI/CD pipeline design, infrastructure-as-code implementation, automated deployment, configuration management, and release execution.
• Monitor reliability, availability, performance, and operational metrics while leading incident response, root cause analysis, and service improvement.
• Coordinate engineering, security, architecture, delivery, QA, and government stakeholders to ensure release readiness and operational acceptance.
• Mentor DevSecOps, platform engineering, and administration teams and prepare technical reports, metrics, and briefings.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship, U.S. residence, U.S. work authorization, and three full years of U.S. residence within the last five years are required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field, or a high school diploma plus four additional years of relevant experience.
• At least eight years of experience in cloud platform operations, DevSecOps, platform engineering, SRE, or related disciplines.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale cloud, platform, cloud operations, or infrastructure engineering teams.
• Deep experience with Terraform, reusable infrastructure modules, policy enforcement, environment provisioning, and automated platform deployment.
• Experience with security, compliance, operational readiness, incident management, and highly available production environments.

Nice to have

• Databricks administration, Unity Catalog, access management, cluster governance, and automated provisioning experience.
• CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Git, and enterprise release automation frameworks.
• Experience with Azure Government, Azure Commercial, AWS GovCloud, hybrid cloud, OpenShift, and containerized applications.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture, RMF, NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, FIPS, and federal compliance requirements.
• Experience with data, analytics, AI/ML, healthcare, federal government, Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or other regulated environments.
