Azure IaC Engineer, Senior (Azure)

Location: Remote within the United States, with occasional travel to Washington, DC as needed. US citizenship and an active Public Trust clearance are required.

Salary: $85,678.38–$200,993.63 per year.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
• Architect automated deployment pipelines with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code frameworks.
• Implement cloud governance, identity, security, compliance, monitoring, resilience, and cost-optimization practices.
• Troubleshoot advanced Azure infrastructure issues involving networking, identity, compute, storage, and AKS.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design enterprise-aligned solutions and maintain architecture and deployment documentation.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level cloud engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least five years of hands-on experience designing and managing cloud infrastructure, primarily with Microsoft Azure.
• Advanced experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, Azure networking, security, compute, storage, containers, and AKS.
• Experience with PowerShell or Python, Azure AD, RBAC, policies, security baselines, and cloud governance frameworks.
• US citizenship and an active Public Trust clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Azure certifications such as AZ-305, AZ-104, or AZ-400.
• Experience building reusable infrastructure modules and working in platform engineering.
• Knowledge of cloud cost-optimization strategies and Agile environments.
