2nd Shift Registered Nurse, Occupational Health

Location: On-site in Middletown, Connecticut, United States. Full-time second shift, Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM.

Salary: $40.80–$51.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Provide employee-focused occupational health care as the sole nurse on the second shift.
• Evaluate, treat, and prioritize patients, including injured workers, within the scope of practice.
• Perform and document medical tests, screenings, physical evaluations, treatments, and emergency care.
• Coordinate case management, transitional duty, return-to-work programs, accident investigations, and workplace safety initiatives.
• Maintain patient records, medical equipment, infection control standards, and a clean, safe clinic environment.
• Educate patients and collaborate with healthcare professionals, client contacts, and company departments on health promotion and injury prevention.

Requirements

• Certificate from an accredited nursing school or an Associate degree in Nursing is required; a BSN is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice is required.
• Current hands-on Basic Life Support certification from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider is required.
• At least three years of Registered Nurse experience in occupational health, emergency, or ambulatory care is required.
• Experience with workplace hazard mitigation, health screenings and education, fitness-for-duty evaluations, and return-to-work examinations.
• Occupational health, emergency nursing, or case management certification is preferred and may be required at some sites; ACLS may also be required based on the service contract.
