Bindery Operator 2 - 12-hr Night Shift Fixed Front (7:00pm - 7:00am)

Location: Chanhassen, Minnesota, USA. Onsite, fixed 12-hour night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Monday through Wednesday and every other Thursday.

Salary: $20.39–$31.03 per hour, plus a $2 per hour night-shift differential.

What you will do

• Set up, adjust, and operate auxiliary and automated bindery machines, including cutters, folders, collators, stitchers, drills, binders, gluing machines, and mailing equipment.
• Operate complex finishing systems that process printed sheets into books, catalogs, manuals, directories, magazines, and other completed products.
• Coordinate multiple machine stations and make adjustments for different paper weights, colors, and machinability requirements.
• Inspect equipment for safety issues and maintain accurate operating conditions.
• Direct the production crew and monitor quality, output, and productivity.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret work orders and machine-operation specifications.
• Ability to calculate distances, clearances, and fits when combining machines.
• Experience using standard and specialized tools to adjust and maintain bindery equipment.
• Knowledge of automatic binding machines, collators, folding units, cutting equipment, and combined finishing systems.
• Knowledge of coated and uncoated paper stocks and their machining requirements.
• Ability to set up and refine machines to prevent impressions and maintain product quality.
