Quality Control Tech (Ink Manufacturing)

Location: Dunkirk, New York, United States; on-site second-shift role

Salary: $24–$26 per hour

Manufacturing company producing ink and coating solutions for commercial, packaging, and digital printing applications, with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and color chemistry.

What you will do

• Perform quality-control testing and color-quality tests on production batches of inks and coatings.
• Make batch additions and adjustments and communicate timely corrections to Production.
• Enter test results into SAP and maintain complete quality records, labels, files, and sample retention.
• Calibrate and verify test equipment and investigate non-conforming internal and external batches.
• Maintain 5S standards, support Lean Manufacturing, and perform customer proofing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 6–12 months of previous laboratory or quality-control experience.
• Ability to pass a color vision test and demonstrate good math, reading comprehension, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
• Ability to stand for long periods and cover other shifts when needed.
• Ability to work on site in Dunkirk, New York, including the second shift.

Nice to have

• Understanding of manufacturing operations and basic printing technologies.
• Experience in a high-volume or Lean Manufacturing environment.
• Trade or technical school education.
• SAP knowledge or previous ink-industry experience.
• Availability for overtime as needed.
