What you will do

• Lead managers and individual contributors, set strategic direction, and ensure delivery of complex projects.
• Guide the interpretation of complex US and Canadian tax regulations and advise on tax strategy.
• Set architectural direction for scalable, resilient tax systems and maintain operational health, reliability, availability, and incident response.
• Ensure accrual, balance, and compliance-sensitive logic is correct and auditable.
• Oversee a portfolio of large-scale, multi-year initiatives and align product and technology roadmaps with customer needs.
• Drive technical excellence, reduce technical debt, and apply AI and automation in products and engineering practices.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in tax, accounting, or software development, with deep knowledge of the tax compliance lifecycle.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams, including managing other managers.
• Expert knowledge of US and/or Canadian tax law and compliance.
• Strong software development, agile methodology, and complex systems architecture experience.
• Strategic thinking, organizational influence, and experience leading large-scale initiatives.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, innovation, and customer-centricity skills.
