Head of Technology and AI

Location: Remote within Canada, with travel for client and team meetings

Salary: CAD $160,000–$200,000 base salary plus performance bonus and potential stock option grants

What you will do

• Develop and execute the technology and AI strategy, including priorities, investments, partnerships, and measurable outcomes.
• Identify client needs and turn them into advisory offerings, pilots, and repeatable technology and AI services.
• Build senior client relationships, lead discovery and proposals, and shape architectures, estimates, and delivery plans.
• Serve on selected engagements as a principal architect, strategic adviser, or fractional technology leader.
• Establish practical approaches to human review, privacy, security, quality, and measurement for AI initiatives.
• Coach senior technologists, strengthen engineering and architecture practices, and help recruit technical leaders.

Requirements

• Demonstrated success initiating, winning, and delivering technology consulting or professional services work.
• Deep technical experience across modern software architecture, cloud, integration, data, and AI.
• Experience advising senior clients, shaping complex proposals, and aligning commitments with delivery capabilities.
• Commercial understanding of a services business, including scope, pricing, staffing, utilization, partnerships, and client outcomes.
• Experience developing technical leaders and building capabilities beyond personal contributions.
• Ability to work remotely from within Canada and travel for client and team meetings.

Nice to have

• Experience with credit unions, digital banking, or core modernization.
• Relevant experience in healthcare, government, or other complex environments.
