Systems Control Technician (Industrial Process Control)

Location: Maplewood, Minnesota, United States; onsite production role. Relocation assistance is not authorized. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Salary: $48.76 per hour starting rate

What you will do

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, calibrate, and adjust industrial process control systems, components, and circuits.
• Work with electronic, digital, analog, pneumatic, mechanical, and computer-based control systems.
• Measure and control variables including temperature, humidity, speed, pressure, level, weight, flow, frequency, thickness, viscosity, and density.
• Read engineering drawings, blueprints, equipment manuals, process flow diagrams, and vendor diagrams.
• Operate precision testing and measuring instruments according to manufacturer specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and vendor teams; order parts and complete purchase requisitions as needed.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.
• Either a completed two-year Electronics Technology degree or at least five years of experience installing, testing, repairing, modifying, and programming industrial process control systems and instrumentation.
• Ability to pass the pre-employment skilled trades test battery.
• Current and valid driver's license; the role requires driving a company vehicle and includes motor vehicle history reviews.
• Training and experience in mechanical and electronic testing, repair, measurement, troubleshooting, and use of hand tools and testing equipment.

Nice to have

• Experience with programmable controllers, AC/DC drive controls, pneumatic systems, analog and digital electronics, and microprocessor-based control systems.
• Experience with fire alarm and life safety systems, enterprise access control, security CCTV, campus intercom systems, and basic networking.
• Experience with field instrumentation, process sensors, and control devices.
