Calibration Technician

Location: Onsite at the Kansas City Calibration facility in Lee’s Summit, Missouri; U.S. Persons only due to ITAR export-control requirements.

What you will do

• Calibrate and repair electronic and mechanical test and measurement equipment with limited supervision.
• Work with AC/DC low-voltage equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power meters, and voltage calibrators.
• Calibrate RF frequency devices, temperature and humidity equipment, and generating test equipment.
• Calibrate mechanical equipment such as torque wrenches, calipers, micrometers, scales, pressure gauges, and crimpers.
• Work independently on calibration projects or collaborate with other technicians.
• Train entry-level calibration technicians.

Requirements

• Associate degree in electronics or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of experience calibrating and repairing test and measurement equipment.
• Knowledge and experience with ISO 17025 quality management systems.
• Ability to read schematics and follow written procedures.
• Basic computer, verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under ITAR requirements.

Nice to have

• Commercial or military PMEL or TMDE experience.
• ASQ Certified Calibration Technician certification.
• Knowledge of basic AC/DC circuitry.
