Electronic Technician (PLC/Automation)

What you will do

• Document, identify, and organize electronic, electrical, and other schematics.
• Repair electronics, general electrical systems, and pneumatic equipment used in manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic PC boards and automation systems.
• Maintain and repair test equipment.
• Calibrate electronic instrumentation and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electronic equipment and support PLC programming routines.

Requirements

• Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Automation, or a related field.
• Experience with PLCs, automation processes, and/or robotics.
• Familiarity with PLC programming and basic programming routines.
• Knowledge of analog and digital electronics, PLC hardware troubleshooting, ladder diagrams, ADC/DAC interfaces, instrumentation, and industrial electronics.
• Knowledge of AC/DC concepts, serial and parallel communications, and protocols including Modbus, OPC, BACnet, and TCP/IP.
• Ability to use electronic test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes, plus basic knowledge of C, operating systems, and MS Office.
