TL;DR
AWS Solutions Architect (AWS/EdTech): Designing and operating scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS architectures for cloud transformation and application modernization with an accent on Kubernetes, serverless services, observability, security, and infrastructure automation. Focus on creating migration roadmaps, debugging complex production issues, improving CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code, and optimizing high-availability systems and cloud costs.
Location: 100% remote, with the role located in Warszawa, Poland

What you will do
- Work with client stakeholders, including C-level executives, to define cloud transformation goals.
- Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS architectures using services such as ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, SNS/SQS, EventBridge, and VPC.
- Create target architectures and migration or modernization roadmaps for legacy systems.
- Design application architectures covering monoliths, microservices, REST APIs, event-driven systems, authentication, authorization, and integrations.
- Debug complex production issues, analyze logs and distributed traces, and improve monitoring, observability, incident response, and reliability.
- Implement AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, security controls, disaster recovery strategies, and cloud cost optimization.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of hands-on AWS experience in production environments.
- Strong experience designing and operating cloud-based applications, with a background in application development or architecture using PHP, Java, or similar technologies.
- Experience with REST APIs, monolithic and microservice architectures, event-driven systems, and cloud application debugging.
- Knowledge of logging, monitoring, and observability tools such as CloudWatch, OpenSearch, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration using ECS and/or EKS.
- Proficient English and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience correlating application logs with cloud infrastructure metrics and using distributed tracing tools such as OpenTelemetry or X-Ray.
- Experience with regulated or high-availability environments and performance optimization.
- AWS or DevOps certifications in areas such as DevOps, Security, SysOps, or Networking.
