TL;DR
Senior Cloud Architect (AWS): Designing and delivering scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud architectures, observability solutions, and infrastructure automation for client workloads with an accent on AWS, Infrastructure as Code, monitoring, and operational reliability. Focus on leading client engagements, re-platforming and refactoring systems, building runbooks and automation, and coordinating cross-functional teams to solve complex cloud operations challenges.
Location: Remote from Mexico only; current legal authorization to work in Mexico is required. Visa or work permit sponsorship is not available.

What you will do
- Lead client engagements and cross-functional implementation teams delivering scalable AWS cloud solutions.
- Design and build secure, reliable, and cost-efficient cloud architectures using Infrastructure as Code and cloud-native patterns.
- Lead re-platforming, refactoring, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives for existing systems.
- Build observability solutions with CloudWatch, X-Ray, Config, Datadog, Dynatrace, and OpenTelemetry for monitoring, logging, tracing, and APM.
- Establish monitoring metrics, runbooks, and automated responses while working with CloudOps, DevOps, security, and 24x7 response teams.
- Coach team members, conduct code reviews, communicate technical decisions to clients, and contribute to internal IP, open source, certifications, talks, and technical content.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with 6 years of general IT experience, or 8+ years of general IT experience.
- 4+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services and 4 years architecting and building scalable, automated infrastructure.
- 2+ years of code-defined infrastructure experience and 2+ years of Continuous Integration and Delivery experience.
- 4 years of experience with cloud-native patterns and services such as AWS Lambda.
- Experience with Agile project management or other project management methodologies.
- Current legal authorization to work in Mexico is required; visa and work permit sponsorship is unavailable.
Nice to have
- AWS Associate or Professional certification.
- Programming experience with Python, Node, TypeScript, Go, Java, C#, or similar languages.
- Experience in large-scale enterprise IT environments and consultative, client-facing roles.
- Knowledge of AWS and application observability concepts and methods.
- Strong documentation, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
