TL;DR
Senior Cloud Architect (AWS): Designing and delivering scalable, secure, and cost-efficient AWS architectures for client workloads with an accent on infrastructure as code, observability, automation, and cloud modernization. Focus on leading client engagements, building monitoring and runbook solutions, coordinating cross-functional teams, and solving complex reliability and operational challenges.
Location: 100% remote from Argentina; current legal authorization to work in Argentina is required. Visa or work permit sponsorship is not available.

What you will do
- Lead client engagements and cross-functional implementation teams delivering scalable AWS cloud architectures.
- Design and implement infrastructure as code across multiple frameworks, including stable, secure, and independently deployable components.
- Lead cloud re-platforming, refactoring, discovery, backlog creation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build observability solutions with AWS-native and partner tools for application performance monitoring, infrastructure monitoring, logging, and tracing.
- Establish monitoring metrics, runbooks, and automation while partnering with CloudOps, DevOps, and security teams to improve resilience and reduce operational noise.
- Coach engineers, review code, engage with clients and vendors, and contribute to internal intellectual property, open source projects, presentations, and technical community activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with 6 years of general IT experience, or 8+ years of general IT experience.
- 4+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services and 4 years architecting and building scalable, automated infrastructure.
- 2+ years of experience with code-defined infrastructure and 2+ years of Continuous Integration and Delivery.
- 4 years of experience with cloud-native patterns and services such as AWS Lambda.
- Experience with Agile project management or other project management methodologies.
- Current legal authorization to work in Argentina; visa and work permit sponsorship are not available.
Nice to have
- AWS Associate or Professional certification.
- 2+ years of programming experience with Python, Node, TypeScript, Go, Java, C#, or similar languages.
- Experience in large-scale enterprise IT environments and consultative, client-facing consulting.
- Knowledge of AWS and application observability concepts and methods.
- Strong documentation, presentation, and communication skills.
