Registered Nurse, Occupational Health

Location: Cleveland, North Carolina, United States. Onsite role at a client Health Center. Scheduled hours are Saturday and Sunday from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Monday from 5:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

What you will do

• Provide clinical care to client employees, including evaluation, treatment, prioritization, medication administration, and emergency care within the scope of practice.
• Manage occupational health evaluations and screenings, including OSHA, DOT, and CDC-related requirements, EKG, audiometry, spirometry, and vision testing.
• Deliver evidence-based care to injured workers, coordinate case management, and support return-to-work and transitional duty programs.
• Maintain accurate patient records, medical equipment, infection control procedures, and a clean, safe care environment.
• Educate patients on health promotion and collaborate on injury prevention, workplace safety, accident investigations, and health programs.

Requirements

• Certificate from an accredited nursing school or an Associate degree in Nursing is required; a BSN is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice is required.
• At least three years of Registered Nurse experience in occupational health, emergency, or ambulatory care.
• Current hands-on Basic Life Support certification from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent provider is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may be required depending on the contract scope.
• Experience with workplace hazard mitigation, health screenings and education, fitness-for-duty evaluations, and return-to-work examinations.

Nice to have

• Occupational Health, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management certification, including COHN or COHN-S.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
