Environmental, Health & Safety Officer (Automotive Manufacturing)

Location: Chemor, Ipoh, Malaysia; onsite role

What you will do

• Implement and maintain environmental, occupational health, and workplace safety programs in line with legal requirements and company standards.
• Advise management on occupational health and safety planning, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Inspect work areas, assess operational risks, identify hazards, and recommend preventive measures.
• Coordinate fire protection systems, inspections, corrective actions, contractor activities, and safety training.
• Investigate accidents, occupational illnesses, and safety incidents; prepare reports, statistics, and recommendations.
• Organize first-aid, occupational health, environmental, emergency response, and chemical safety training.

Requirements

• Experience or knowledge in environmental, occupational health, and workplace safety compliance.
• Ability to conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, accident investigations, and safety reporting.
• Ability to manage hazardous material registration, labeling, handling instructions, and employee training.
• Ability to coordinate fire protection systems and work with contractors and internal departments.
• Ability to maintain emergency plans, first-aid records, medical supplies, and occupational health documentation.
• Ability to work onsite in Chemor, Ipoh, Malaysia.
