Production Technician (Manufacturing)

Location: Iskandar Puteri, Johor, Malaysia; onsite production role on a shift basis

What you will do

• Operate and monitor automated machinery for cut paper swab production, including material loading, inspection, and packing.
• Perform first-line troubleshooting and basic machine maintenance, including blade changes, alignment adjustments, feed corrections, and machine error resolution.
• Support laboratory-based production through component assembly, calibrant preparation, handling, and labeling of test-kit parts.
• Record production outputs, quality results, and operational data accurately.
• Maintain raw-material inventory accuracy, traceability, storage, and compliance with quality and safety requirements.
• Rotate across production functions and contribute to continuous improvement, workplace safety, and production efficiency.

Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with automated production machinery is highly preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform manual handling tasks.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, basic computer proficiency, and accurate production record-keeping.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, rotate between functions, and perform effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Nice to have

• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, including Kanban, Cycle Counting, and 5S.
