TL;DR
Network Management Consultant (Provider Performance/Healthcare): Supporting provider contracting and performance initiatives across HEDIS, STARS, risk adjustment, and value-based care with an accent on data-driven analysis, provider education, and strategic network coverage. Focus on negotiating contracts, identifying performance improvement opportunities, developing action plans, and driving results through provider relationships and analytics.

Location: Hybrid field-based position in the Dallas Fort Worth or East Texas market, with onsite work at provider offices up to 3 days per week and work from home typically 2 days per week. The role may be performed remotely within the continental United States, excluding California, New York, Alaska, and Hawaii. Travel within the assigned territory, including overnight stays, is required.

Salary: $63,300–$114,300 annually, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

  • Support HEDIS, STARS, financial provider performance, and provider contracting activities.
  • Develop and negotiate contracts with physicians, physician groups, and small to mid-size hospitals.
  • Support complex hospital and physician contracting initiatives within the assigned territory.
  • Build provider relationships, deliver education and service, and drive performance improvement.
  • Use analytics to identify opportunities, develop action plans, influence outcomes, and achieve client goals.
  • Travel to provider offices and attend occasional evening or weekend meetings when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus at least 1 year of experience developing and negotiating provider contracts, or 5 years of managed care operations experience including at least 1 year of provider contract experience.
  • Analytical, organizational, planning, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
  • PC proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the assigned territory, including overnight stays.
  • Sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

  • Business degree and previous HEDIS or CMS STARS experience.
  • Understanding of health insurance, customer messaging and design, and project management.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
  • Financial or trend analysis experience.
  • Experience with EMRs, population health tools, provider outreach, medical record retrieval, PHI, and HIPAA compliance.
