AI/ML Data Scientist

Location: 100% remote; role is associated with McLean, Virginia, and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Public Trust clearance. U.S. citizenship is preferred.

What you will do

• Define AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics use cases with stakeholders.
• Design anomaly detection, fraud detection, semantic search, entity resolution, and relationship analytics models.
• Use Generative AI and foundation models for alert enrichment, case summarization, evidence synthesis, and investigative decision support.
• Build data science solutions in an AWS data lakehouse, including data preparation, feature engineering, training, inference, monitoring, and analytics.
• Integrate models into production with data engineers, cloud engineers, investigators, and business stakeholders.
• Develop evaluation, explainability, risk-scoring, dashboards, alerting, and human-in-the-loop workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, or applied analytics.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Public Trust clearance; U.S. citizenship is preferred.
• Experience with NLP, semantic search, entity resolution, anomaly or fraud detection, graph analytics, or network analysis.
• Strong Python and SQL skills, including experience with Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
• Experience with AWS-native services, data lakehouse architectures, scalable ML pipelines, model monitoring, responsible AI, and Agile delivery.

Nice to have

• Production experience with anomaly detection, fraud analytics, risk scoring, or investigative decision-support systems.
• Experience with Amazon Bedrock, RAG, prompt engineering, agentic workflows, guardrails, and foundation-model evaluation.
• Experience with semantic or hybrid search, multimodal document processing, OCR/ICR, Amazon Textract, SageMaker, OpenSearch, graph databases, or knowledge graphs.
• Experience supporting federal clients or working in regulated environments.
