Senior Data Scientist (Airport Operations)

Location: Remote in Colombia, Mexico, or Uruguay

What you will do

• Analyze airport operational and passenger experience challenges using statistical modeling, clustering, NLP, and exploratory data analysis.
• Apply hypothesis testing, inference, multivariate analysis, segmentation, PCA, embeddings, and dimensionality reduction.
• Build lightweight machine learning and NLP models for topic modeling, classification, and semantic grouping.
• Design experiments and use causal inference to evaluate business impact.
• Develop reproducible analytical pipelines and datasets with Python and SQL.
• Create decision-oriented dashboards and collaborate with product, airport operations, engineering, and data teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Applied Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of statistics, experimental design, causal inference, machine learning, and NLP.
• Proficiency in Python, including Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, and StatsModels, plus advanced SQL skills.
• Experience building end-to-end machine learning models, reproducible pipelines, visualizations, and executive dashboards.
• Ability to communicate findings to technical, non-technical, and executive audiences and influence decisions through data.
• Fluency in Spanish and intermediate English are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in airport operations or logistics.
• Familiarity with GCP tools such as BigQuery, Dataform, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub.
• Experience scaling analyses and collaborating closely with Data Engineers.
