Bond & Specialty Insurance Underwriting Professional Development Program (BSI UPDP) Internship (AI)

Location: Flowood, Mississippi, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. now and in the future. The internship runs for approximately 10–12 weeks from late May or early June through mid-August. Housing assistance is not provided.

Salary: $25.00–$26.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Complete challenging, meaningful project work during the internship.
• Build knowledge of insurance underwriting, sales, and marketing through core assignments and coaching.
• Use modern analytical and artificial intelligence tools to evaluate business and institutional risk.
• Assess the quality and accuracy limitations of AI-assisted outputs using critical thinking.
• Participate in executive speaker sessions, networking events, and the Rising Senior Intern Symposium.

Requirements

• Must be pursuing or have obtained a Bachelor’s degree.
• Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Preferred fields include business administration, economics, finance, liberal arts with a business focus, management, marketing, risk management, and insurance.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must already have authorization to work for any employer in the United States.
• H-1B, TN, and Forms I-983/STEM OPT sponsorship or support are not available.
