Mobile Phlebotomist (Health Screening)

Location: Peoria, Illinois, with work performed at local company health-screening events

Salary: $27–$32 per hour

What you will do

• Perform biometric testing, including height, weight, blood pressure, body fat, and BMI measurements.
• Collect blood samples through fingersticks and venipuncture in fast-paced event settings.
• Prepare specimens for storage or additional processing and maintain laboratory transaction records.
• Set up and break down portable blood-draw and biometric screening stations.
• Transport supplies to and from events, including loads of up to 20 pounds.
• Deliver professional customer service while working independently at local employer locations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current national phlebotomy certification from an approved organization, an accredited phlebotomy program with a completed hands-on externship, or qualifying recent blood-draw experience.
• At least 100 successful fingersticks within the last year or 200 successful venipunctures within the last six months when using the experience pathway.
• Availability Monday through Friday mornings for PRN, event-based work.
• Reliable transportation, computer and internet proficiency, strong communication and customer-service skills, and the ability to pass a full background check.
• Ability to work safely with limited supervision and follow organizational, laboratory, and regulatory procedures.

Nice to have

• One year of health-screening or phlebotomy experience.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations.
• Manual blood-pressure cuff experience and a professional credentialing record.
