Phlebotomist PRN

Location: Richmond, Prince George, and Fredericksburg, Virginia; Durham, Fayetteville, Burlington, and Greensboro, North Carolina, United States. On-site work with travel to additional sites when needed.

Salary: $17.75–$27.69 per hour, plus potential eligibility for a quarterly performance-based incentive.

What you will do

• Perform blood collections through venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other analyses.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain accurate patient and specimen information logs.
• Enter patient data accurately and process billing information and payments when required.
• Provide customer service and complete related administrative and clerical duties.
• Travel to additional sites when needed and work independently or as part of a team.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completion of a phlebotomy training program, or at least three months of phlebotomy experience.
• Certification or training used in place of experience must be from an accredited agency.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Strong written and verbal communication, exceptional customer service, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work overtime or varying hours as needed.

Nice to have

• At least one year of phlebotomy experience.
