Phlebotomist-PRN

Location: Onsite in Richmond, Virginia, with potential assignments in Prince George, Conway, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Winchester, New Brunswick, and Alexandria

Salary: $17.75–$27.69 per hour

What you will do

• Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all ages.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other analyses.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain accurate patient and specimen logs.
• Enter patient information, process billing details, and collect payments when required.
• Provide customer service and complete administrative and clerical duties.
• Travel to additional sites when needed with reliable transportation.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completion of a training program, or at least three months of phlebotomy experience.
• Certification or training used in place of experience must come from an accredited agency.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Strong written and verbal communication, customer service, and independent teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work overtime and variable hours as needed.

Nice to have

• One year or more of phlebotomy experience.
