Phlebotomist PRN (Healthcare)

Location: Fredericksburg, Richmond, and Prince George, Virginia; Fayetteville, Burlington, Greensboro, and Durham, North Carolina, United States. On-site work with travel to additional sites when needed.

Pay range: $17.75–$27.69 per hour.

What you will do

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other analyses.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Enter patient data accurately and process billing information and payments when required.
• Provide customer service and complete administrative and clerical duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completion of a training program, or at least three months of phlebotomy experience.
• Certification or training used in place of experience must come from an accredited agency.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime and travel to additional sites with reliable transportation.
• Strong written and verbal communication, customer service, and independent working skills.

Nice to have

• One year or more of phlebotomy experience.
