Product Designer, Claude Developer Platform (AI)

Location: San Francisco, CA; New York City, NY; or Seattle, WA. Hybrid policy: staff are expected to work from one of the offices at least 25% of the time, with some roles requiring more office attendance.

Annual salary: $305,000–$385,000 USD.

What you will do

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, AI researchers, and stakeholders to define product vision, strategy, roadmaps, and shipped experiences.
• Understand product architecture and define design primitives for new capabilities.
• Lead feature areas with strong attention to detail, polish, quality, and consistency across broader user flows.
• Design polished interfaces that build trust and communicate the capabilities of AI technology.
• Work across code, design, and prototypes while developing new ways to communicate product concepts.
• Ship high-quality work in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and resource-constrained startup environment.

Requirements

• Experience designing and shipping complex workflows, enterprise or B2B SaaS, developer tools, or API products end-to-end.
• Track record of executing on large, complex products or product series in ambiguous environments.
• Portfolio demonstrating user-centered design thinking and polished UI craftsmanship.
• Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude Code in design practice.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or professional experience, plus strong collaboration and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience prototyping with front-end code, including HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.
• Passion for creating scalable, impactful, safe, and beneficial AI technologies.
