Software Packaging Engineer (Liquidware FlexApp)

Location: Remote within the United States; the posting is associated with Merrifield, Virginia.

Salary: $60/hour W2 hourly rate

What you will do

• Assess, package, test, and deploy enterprise applications for the EUC Software Delivery Enhancements Project.
• Modernize application delivery by converting traditionally installed Windows applications into Liquidware FlexApp virtualized packages.
• Support application delivery across Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and physical Windows environments.
• Administer software deployments and provide engineering and operational support.
• Collaborate with End User Computing, Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of software packaging engineering experience.
• Experience packaging enterprise software in Windows environments, including MSI packaging and application repackaging.
• Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and PowerShell scripting.
• Ability to troubleshoot application installation and compatibility issues.
• Familiarity with application lifecycle management and software delivery processes.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, independent work, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience creating and managing Liquidware FlexApp virtualized applications and packaging workflows.
• Experience with VDI, application virtualization, and application layering technologies.
• Experience with InstallShield or similar packaging tools.
• Familiarity with profile management, user environment management, Splunk, UberAgent, or endpoint monitoring tools.
• Experience with software delivery modernization initiatives.
