Senior Windows Platform Engineer (Windows/Azure)

What you will do

• Improve Active Directory and DNS resilience across replication topology, FSMO roles, DFS-R, NTDS, AD-integrated DNS, and cloud-based domain controllers.
• Support the migration from NTLM to Kerberos, including SPNs, constrained delegation, service accounts, encryption settings, LDAP, and single sign-on.
• Build and maintain golden image, patching, CI-scheduled build, promotion, deprecation, and CVE-driven rebuild pipelines.
• Develop PowerShell automation and improve Windows observability through agents, event channels, service health monitoring, metrics, and log forwarding.
• Support Infrastructure as Code and configuration management with OpenTofu, Chef, Ansible, Systems Manager, guardrail policies, and deployment validation.
• Strengthen PKI, security, data protection, file services, and disaster recovery capabilities, including RTO/RPO planning and failover testing.

Requirements

• Expert-level Active Directory, DNS resilience, and Kerberos experience, including replication, FSMO roles, SPNs, delegation, service accounts, and reverse DNS.
• Strong experience integrating Windows and non-Windows identity systems through LDAP and single sign-on.
• Expertise in golden image and patch pipelines, CI-scheduled builds, image lifecycle management, and CVE-driven rebuilds.
• Strong Windows observability, PowerShell, Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, and cloud infrastructure experience.
• Strong knowledge of PKI, certificate services, security controls, data protection, disaster recovery, RTO/RPO, failover testing, and Windows file services.
• Ability to work independently as a platform and automation engineer in a code-managed Windows environment and communicate technical decisions clearly.
