Senior Solutions Engineer – Payments

Location: Sydney, with 3 days in the office; implementation coverage across APAC

What you will do

• Own technical pre-sales for complex payment and financial product engagements with enterprise partners, shopping carts, and payment gateways.
• Act as a technical advisor on integration approaches, system configuration, solution architecture, and implementation planning.
• Translate customer requirements into scalable architectures and integration blueprints, including API and third-party connector usage.
• Guide customers through configuration decisions and troubleshoot integration challenges through go-live and early optimisation.
• Create documentation, playbooks, and lightweight tooling for integration-heavy use cases.
• Share customer feedback with Product and Engineering teams to influence roadmap priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of technical pre-sales experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder technology or financial services implementations.
• 8+ years of client-facing delivery or professional services experience in SaaS, fintech, consulting, systems integration, or enterprise implementation.
• Experience delivering cross-functional projects involving executives, technical teams, operations, and other diverse stakeholders.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, and stakeholder-influence skills.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with API-based payments integrations or products.
• Experience managing strategic or enterprise engagements within broader account teams.
• Experience working effectively in fast-moving and ambiguous environments.
