Software Engineer, Full Stack (Experimentation Platform)

Location: Hybrid role based in San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Seattle, New York, or Los Angeles, with some time in the office and some time remote.

Salary: $130,600–$192,000 USD annual base salary, localized by work location. Additional equity opportunities may be available.

What you will do

• Enhance and simplify an experimentation platform used by engineers across the company.
• Build a new experimentation platform and contribute to system design and product experience.
• Own features end to end, from APIs and data models to React interfaces in the Decision Portal.
• Build interfaces and tools for workflows, data discovery, integrations, analytics, and visualizations.
• Collaborate with product engineers, data analysts, data scientists, ML engineers, and data infrastructure engineers.
• Introduce LLM-powered tools and support statistical methodologies, machine learning, AI, causal inference, and data mining capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of industry experience building end-to-end web applications with TypeScript and React.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and knowledge of object-oriented programming languages.
• Experience designing, implementing, and consuming REST and gRPC APIs.
• Understanding of database technologies and storage-layer selection, with backend experience in Java, Kotlin, Python, or Go.
• Experience with documentation, unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, plus proficiency with AI coding tools throughout the software development lifecycle.

Nice to have

• Experience building internal tools, admin consoles, or developer platforms used by multiple teams.
• Experience with experimentation configuration or feature-flagging products.
• Experience with Postgres, Redis, Elasticsearch, Snowflake, Mode, Segment, Spark, or similar data technologies.
• Background in analytics, statistics, machine learning, or related data-science subjects.
• Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS.
