Software Engineer III, WebApp

Location: Remote within the United States; roles are not available in Delaware, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Hawaii, New Mexico, or West Virginia. Some roles may be based internationally, but this role is listed for the United States.

Base salary: $133,000–$181,000 annual salary, with a typical midpoint of $157,000.

What you will do

• Build and maintain full-stack web application features and scalable distributed microservices.
• Own complex features from technical design through production deployment while meeting performance and reliability standards.
• Improve the core web application stack for high-throughput traffic, performance, and accuracy.
• Participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot production incidents, and maintain high service-level agreements.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, infrastructure teams, and API partners while mentoring engineers and setting technical standards.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, container-based software distribution, and observability using Docker and Kubernetes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Experience building and maintaining highly available, scalable web applications.
• Proficiency with full-stack development technologies such as React, Python, Go, Kafka, SQL, and NoSQL.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
• Experience with AI-assisted development workflows.
• BSc in a STEM field, preferably computer science or software engineering, with strong communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience in the shipping and logistics industry.
