Frontend Software Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: New York, NY; on-site. U.S. citizenship required.

Base salary: $159,000–$195,000 annually. Estimated total compensation: $204,000–$263,000, including target bonus and estimated equity value.

What you will do

• Build sophisticated React and TypeScript features that operate reliably at scale.
• Implement real-time interfaces for complex cyber operation data, including graphs, timelines, and streaming views.
• Contribute to frontend architecture, design decisions, component libraries, and design systems.
• Optimize performance, rendering, reliability, accessibility, and maintainability across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end automated tests.
• Collaborate with frontend, backend, product, design, and operations partners while supporting engineers through pairing and code review.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required; no active security clearance is required.
• 5–8 years of professional frontend software development experience.
• Production experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with performance optimization at scale, automated testing frameworks, state management, modern build tooling, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong Git, code review, collaboration, and UX delivery practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with complex data visualization using D3, Chart.js, or similar tools.
• Exposure to graph databases or graph query patterns such as Neo4j.
• Experience with real-time streaming data and live system visualization.
• Background in defense, security, or other mission-critical domains.
• Experience surfacing AI/ML outputs in operational workflows or contributing to component libraries such as Storybook.
