Senior Oracle DBA (Oracle)

Location: Remote position located in Washington, D.C., United States

Salary: $125,000–$140,000 annually

What you will do

• Architect, install, configure, and maintain enterprise Oracle databases, including Grid Infrastructure, RAC, ASM, and standalone instances.
• Implement Oracle RMAN backup and recovery strategies and oversee high-availability and disaster-recovery environments such as Oracle Data Guard.
• Develop and optimize PL/SQL packages, procedures, triggers, and functions.
• Perform migrations, upgrades, patching, capacity planning, data modeling, and performance tuning.
• Troubleshoot complex production and non-production database issues while ensuring security, access control, auditing, and configuration hardening.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams, mentor junior DBAs, and prepare technical documentation and runbooks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of Oracle DBA experience in enterprise environments, or equivalent experience.
• Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle RMAN, Oracle Grid, Oracle RAC, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, and MS Access.
• Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining standalone and clustered Oracle systems.
• Strong scripting experience with Bash, PowerShell, and SQL scripting.
• Demonstrated experience implementing high-availability and disaster-recovery capabilities.
• Must be able to attain and maintain a GPO Public Trust clearance.
