Associate Production SQL Server DBA (Secret Clearance)

Location: Remote for candidates local to Maryland, Washington, DC, or Virginia and within commuting distance of DC. Office location: Reston, Virginia, United States.

Salary: $74,090–$125,954 annually.

What you will do

• Administer SQL Server databases in enterprise operations environments supporting federal customers.
• Install database scripts and software applications on database and web application servers.
• Develop database queries, apply patches, and conduct installation-script and deployment-guide testing.
• Configure and maintain backup, recovery, transactional replication, and Always On Availability Group solutions.
• Perform Windows Server and SQL database health checks and troubleshoot database, IIS, Windows application, and scripting issues.
• Coordinate with testers, test leads, production support, and software developers on recovery plans and issue resolution.

Requirements

• Active Secret Security Clearance required.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• 3+ years of SQL Server experience.
• 1+ year of experience with IIS and service accounts.
• 1+ year of experience with Windows Server.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Engineering, or a similar discipline.

Nice to have

• Oracle experience.
• PowerShell and command-line experience.
• Experience with code reviews and requirements analysis.
