Associate Production SQL Server DBA (SQL Server)

Location: Currently remote, but must be local to the Maryland, Washington, DC, or Virginia area and within commuting distance of DC.

Salary: $74,090–$125,954 annually

What you will do

• Administer and support SQL Server databases in an enterprise production environment.
• Install database scripts and software applications on database and web application servers.
• Develop queries, apply patches, and test installation scripts and deployment guides.
• Configure and maintain backup, recovery, transactional replication, and Always On Availability Groups.
• Perform health checks and troubleshoot SQL Server, Windows Server, IIS, application, and database script issues.
• Coordinate with testers, test leads, production support, and software developers on recovery plans and database issues.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with SQL Server.
• At least 1 year of experience with IIS and service accounts.
• At least 1 year of experience with Windows Server.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Engineering, or a similar discipline.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Active Secret security clearance is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle.
• Experience conducting code reviews and analyzing requirements.
• Experience with PowerShell and command-line commands.
