Patient Service Representative (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Greet, direct, register, check in, and check out patients and visitors.
• Answer phones, provide information, and schedule patient appointments.
• Enter, track, and manage referrals, including required authorizations.
• Collect and update patient demographic, insurance, consent, and medical record information.
• Process copayments, reconcile daily balances, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Coordinate interpreter services, support other staff, attend training, and participate in process improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of reception functions, clinic procedures, administrative workflows, and basic computer use.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organization, time management, multitasking, communication, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Customer service experience and knowledge of medical terminology are preferred.
