Paralegal - Team 6 (Insurance Defence Litigation)

What you will do

• Support qualified solicitors and experienced litigated file handlers with insurance defence litigation caseloads.
• Progress discovery matters by drafting pleadings and reviewing discoverable material.
• Conduct legal research, review case law, and analyse procedural issues in claims.
• Investigate matters by taking witness statements and prepare clients and witnesses for trial.
• Analyse quantum evidence, prepare chronologies, identify inconsistencies, and support reserves calculations.
• Prepare instructions for counsel and medico-legal experts, manage deadlines, and maintain accurate case records.

Requirements

• Law degree.
• No previous experience is required; the role is suitable for graduates and experienced paralegals.
• Strong listening, verbal, written communication, research, analytical, and IT skills.
• Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines, work under pressure, and meet agreed targets and service-level agreements.
• Ability to adapt communication style and manage varied tasks while maintaining quality and service.
