Senior Counsel, International (Commercial Transactions/Media Law): Providing legal support for international content licensing, production and sponsorship agreements for CNBC and MS NOW with an accent on commercial negotiation, broadcast regulation, and global media operations. Location: London, United Kingdom; must be willing to work in London. Unrestricted work authorization in the United Kingdom is required.

What you will do
- Provide legal support for CNBC and MS NOW content licensing, including inbound programming acquisitions and outbound content licensing.
- Draft and negotiate venue, vendor, sponsorship, branded partnership, production, and marketing agreements for global news events.
- Advise business teams on marketing messages, consumer protection regulations, media law, fair dealing, data privacy, intellectual property, compliance, risk, and insurance.
- Act as the point person for Ofcom, IMDA, and other European broadcasting regulatory queries.
- Support the transition to AI-assisted drafting and new contract lifecycle management platforms.
- Manage one direct report and collaborate with legal teams in London, Singapore, and New York.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of legal experience in commercial transactions.
- Qualified lawyer in good standing with strong contract drafting and commercial negotiation skills.
- Experience with content licensing, production, sponsorship agreements, media regulation, data privacy, and ad tech.
- Experience in a TMT or events private-practice environment or a strong in-house legal team.
- Strong written and oral presentation skills, practical judgment, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United Kingdom and willingness to work in London.
