Legal Counsel (Fintech)

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements with suppliers, partners, and other third parties.
• Support acquisitions, capital raising, group structure, integration projects, international expansion, debt arrangements, and employee share schemes.
• Prepare board and committee papers and resolutions, update the cap table, and maintain governance trackers.
• Assist with legal disputes and coordinate with external counsel when required.
• Advise commercial teams on business relationships, new products, legal risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Develop legal processes, policies, standard documents, legal technology solutions, research, and internal legal training.

Requirements

• Approximately 1–4 years of post-qualification experience.
• Current practising certificate; qualification in England and Wales is preferred.
• Relevant experience in private practice or an in-house legal team.
• Strong drafting, reviewing, negotiation, problem-solving, stakeholder-management, and time-management skills.
• Commercial judgment, a solutions-focused approach, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
