Field Service Engineer (Automation)

Location: Zhubei, Hsinchu County, Taiwan; the role requires travel to customer sites for installations, training, and on-site support.

What you will do

• Coordinate customer service activities, manage the service queue, and deploy field service engineers, parts, and equipment.
• Install, commission, train customers on, and provide ongoing support for automated inspection equipment.
• Troubleshoot motion, mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software interface issues at customer sites and demonstration facilities.
• Perform application studies on customer samples, develop testing procedures, and prepare application reports.
• Estimate repair resources, maintain service records, manage spare parts inventory, and monitor component replacement status.
• Analyze field failure root causes with quality teams and support countermeasures and legacy-tool replacement programs.

Requirements

• Technical degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, applied sciences, or equivalent education and experience.
• 2–10 years of professional field service experience supporting automation or instrumentation capital equipment.
• Required experience with equipment automation hardware, motion systems, electrical systems, and software interfaces.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• English and Mandarin are required.
• Ability to travel to customer sites and meet service and reporting deadlines.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ultrasonic inspection.
• Knowledge of microelectronics.
