Customer Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Hsinchu, Kaohsiung, Linkou, Taichung, or Tainan, Taiwan. Onsite customer and clean-room work with approximately 20% travel. Relocation is not available.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, upgrade, and verify semiconductor manufacturing equipment at customer sites.
• Perform Tier I service activities independently and standard Tier II activities with assistance.
• Complete preventive and corrective maintenance across electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Diagnose recurring process, software, and hardware issues using documentation, test equipment, and digital analytics.
• Respond to fab issues, participate in escalation calls, and coordinate technical support plans with customers and internal engineers.
• Follow procedures, schematics, intellectual property guidelines, and safety requirements while supporting customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Established skills for performing a range of day-to-day service activities.
• Ability to recognize and solve typical problems using established solutions with regular supervision.
• Basic ability to read circuit diagrams and use hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding clean-room environment, including standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, lifting up to 35 lbs., and working in tight spaces.
• Ability to distinguish colors and work with noise and required personal protective equipment, including coveralls, respirators, gloves, and face shields.
• Must be available for onsite work in Taiwan and approximately 20% travel.
