Sr. Principal Engineer (Software Application Architecture)

Location: Hillsboro, Oregon, United States; hybrid work model with time split between the assigned hirify.global site and off-site work.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end telemetry platform architecture, from field and validation data collection through data lakes and insights delivery.
• Drive crash analytics and reliability modeling to improve root cause analysis, failure de-duplication, and product quality.
• Scale ingestion and analysis across millions of endpoints and thousands of data points.
• Partner with product architecture, validation, quality, OEM, Microsoft, and customer-enabling teams to turn telemetry into business actions.
• Define engineering standards, tooling, validation processes, metrics, and predictive models.
• Lead scalable and secure in-field and application telemetry solutions and mentor engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with 12+ years of experience; or Master's with 8+ years; or PhD with 6+ years.
• 10+ years of experience building field telemetry and data collection systems at scale.
• Deep knowledge of hirify.global client platform architecture and Windows and Linux OS internals, including BSOD, live kernel dumps, machine checks, and event logs.
• Strong software architecture experience covering scalability, security, resiliency, high-volume ingestion, storage, and analysis pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with data lakes, analytics stacks, Snowflake, Databricks, cloud services, and machine learning for failure classification, anomaly detection, de-duplication, and predictive quality trending.
• Demonstrated technical leadership, cross-functional influence, strong communication, conference presentation, and standards committee experience.
