Principle Software Engineer (C#/.NET)

Salary: $202,000–$277,750 base annual salary

What you will do

• Develop systems software roadmaps aligned with product and technology needs.
• Design modular software solutions using object-oriented design and established design patterns.
• Decompose complex problems into software requirements and enable hardware-software system integration.
• Improve product development efficiency, code health, testing, maintainability, and continuous integration pipelines.
• Support performance analysis, troubleshooting, technical integration, and coexistence of legacy and new systems.
• Coach junior architects and own the quality and delivery of their work.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software development experience with C#, .NET, and C++.
• 10+ years of experience architecting and designing new and legacy systems, including reliability and scalability.
• Proficiency in .NET technologies, C# or C++, with hands-on experience in WCF and WPF.
• Experience with state-machine, distributed, and parallel programming.
• Strong analytical, design, problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.
• Availability for approximately 10% annual travel to customer sites.

Nice to have

• Experience architecting large distributed systems or systems of systems.
• Experience developing common software components across products and programs.
• Experience with complex mechatronic systems, semiconductor equipment, robotics, motion systems, or related technologies.
• Experience working with product or program management teams in an agile process.
• Experience with Python, Redis, SQL, machine learning, image processing, process automation, wireless systems, cameras, or sensors.
