Software Architect (Cloud-Native)

Location: California, USA — Remote; regular working hours must accommodate North American time zones.

Base salary: $143,000–$256,520 per year, depending on experience and geographic location.

What you will do

• Lead technical discussions and architectural initiatives across diverse teams in a matrix environment.
• Influence the design and implementation of cloud-native frontend and backend experiences.
• Evaluate future architecture and platform directions through modeling and prototyping.
• Ensure architecture meets security, scalability, resilience, and maintainability requirements.
• Design and implement high-quality code for complex areas and contribute to technology roadmaps.
• Mentor developers, communicate technical concepts, and present architectural initiatives to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related engineering discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of experience as a software engineer or architect, with a strong focus on cloud technologies.
• Extensive knowledge of cloud-native development tools, languages, and frameworks, including Material UI, React, Redux, Web Components, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and AWS infrastructure.
• Experience leading architecture for globally deployed commercial software systems at scale.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, collaboration, and written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Working knowledge of LLMs and machine learning, including hands-on experience with machine learning tools in development.
