Outside Auto Appraiser

Location: Remote-based role serving the Sarasota/Bradenton, Florida territory; the candidate must reside in the assigned territory or be willing to relocate there at their own expense. Work includes mobile inspections at residential, commercial, body shop, and customer locations, work from home, and use of the nearest hirify.global office.

Salary: $63,800–$105,400 annual base salary, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentives.

What you will do

• Inspect vehicles damaged by accidents, weather events, and other covered losses through virtual and on-site inspections.
• Prepare repair estimates using industry-standard estimating software and review estimates for accuracy, consistency, and quality.
• Determine actual cash value for total-loss vehicles using market research, comparable vehicle analysis, and valuation tools.
• Negotiate repair costs and settlements with customers, body shops, and third-party claimants.
• Identify and document pre-existing damage, prior repairs, and potential fraud indicators.
• Coordinate repairs, authorize supplements, resolve claim issues, and explain the appraisal process to vehicle owners.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license.
• At least one year of auto physical damage appraisal or comparable claims experience, or completion of the required hirify.global Claim Representative training program.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; active adjuster license required where applicable.
• Proficiency in claims management, estimating software, Microsoft Office, and enterprise technology systems.
• Strong communication, customer service, judgment, organization, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
• Basic understanding of insurance principles, terminology, state insurance regulations, and claim handling requirements.
