Business Banking Scored Underwriter II

Location: Columbus, OH; office-based workplace. Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States. Immigration sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Underwrite and approve Business Banking loans with exposures up to $500,000.
• Review and analyze loan applications, customer financial information, and credit requests.
• Advise Business Bankers, Branch Managers, and Business Banking Specialists on loan structure and terms.
• Communicate with lenders to clarify credit requests and deliver credit decisions.
• Document loan decisions, risks, mitigants, and conditions to close.
• Maintain compliance with lending policies and standards while resolving business lending issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business, or equivalent underwriting experience.
• 3–5 years of experience underwriting or analyzing business or commercial clients in a banking environment.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to document transaction risks and mitigants clearly and logically.
• Customer service orientation and effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Current authorization to work full-time in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience in a financial sales environment.
