Merchandise Planner (Housewares)

Location: Hybrid role based at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, Massachusetts, United States. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office; Monday and Friday are remote.

Salary: $62,000–$81,500 per year

What you will do

• Develop monthly financial plans and forecasts aligned with department strategy, focusing on sales, margin, inventory, and profitability.
• Partner with buyers and cross-functional teams to create department-level forecasts, assortment plans, and strategic product flow plans.
• Analyze market and sales trends to identify business opportunities and risks one to six months ahead.
• Manage inventory productivity, including markdowns, promotions, end-of-life activity, and plans for new club openings.
• Oversee allocation partners to ensure the right products are available in the right retail channel at the right time.
• Manage demand forecasts in JDA Demand or BYLDE and build article-level ladder plans linked to financial plans.

Requirements

• Preferred 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of sales, margin, inventory turn, and weeks-of-supply metrics.
• Strong problem-solving, retail math, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to communicate recommendations clearly, present data-driven findings, and influence business partners.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with planning software.
