HRI Function Coordinator

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas, United States; onsite campus-based role with occasional evenings and weekends required for events, conferences, outreach activities, and other programs.

Salary: Up to $4,416.67 monthly, approximately $53,000 annually.

What you will do

• Plan, organize, implement, monitor, and evaluate HRI events, conferences, workshops, meetings, programs, and special activities.
• Coordinate event schedules, room configurations, staffing, vendors, catering, technology, signage, accessibility, safety, and guest flow.
• Manage onsite event operations, including setup, breakdown, facility readiness, and resolution of operational and logistical issues.
• Coordinate staff, student workers, volunteers, University departments, external organizations, vendors, and community partners.
• Prepare budgets, track expenditures and funding, maintain participation and facility-use data, and produce quarterly performance reports.
• Coordinate outreach activities, tours, tabling, special visits, and institutional engagement with visitors, partners, donors, and community stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and two years of related experience, or an approved combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong planning, organization, project coordination, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent activities, priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications.
• Ability to work onsite in Corpus Christi and maintain a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as required.

Nice to have

• Three years of experience in program coordination, event management, outreach, operations, or a related area.
• Experience coordinating complex events, conferences, workshops, tours, or outreach programs.
• Experience managing facilities, vendors, technology, materials, staffing, volunteers, budgets, or event-day operations.
• Experience preparing financial, utilization, program, or performance reports.
