Senior Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure, Thrivent Asset Management (AWS)

Location: Hybrid working arrangement with in-office attendance Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.

Salary: $104,063–$140,793 per year.

What you will do

• Design, provision, operate, secure, and optimize AWS cloud environments supporting business-critical digital platforms.
• Lead the implementation and operationalization of Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices across AWS infrastructure.
• Support Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service, Cloud Manager pipelines, content deployments, package movement, and environment synchronization.
• Administer and improve Jenkins jobs, CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and Git-based source control practices.
• Provide production support, troubleshoot outages and deployment or data issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.
• Improve monitoring, alerting, runbooks, dashboards, operational reporting, access controls, and infrastructure governance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of engineering experience and 5+ years of cloud engineering, DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or related experience.
• Strong AWS administration, Terraform, and infrastructure-as-code experience.
• Experience with Jenkins or comparable CI/CD automation platforms, Git-based workflows, SDLC practices, and systems design for security and stability.
• Working knowledge of cloud networking, DNS, certificates, IAM, WAF, security groups, and access management.
• Expertise in debugging code and complex logs, querying databases, troubleshooting product defects, and performing code reviews.

Nice to have

• Scripting or automation experience with PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar tools.
• Adobe Experience Manager, SQL Server, Windows Server, database infrastructure, SFTP, Snowflake, API integration, or data platform experience.
• Experience with financial services, investment data, regulatory content, fund or ETF data, or marketing technology platforms.
• AWS or HashiCorp Terraform certification and experience with Dynatrace, Splunk, New Relic, CloudWatch, or similar monitoring tools.
