Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer (Ansible)

Location: Seattle, Washington, with a 70/30 in-office work model. Due to U.S. export-control requirements, only U.S. persons are eligible.

Salary: $130,800–$209,400 per year, plus potential bonus, incentive compensation, or equity.

What you will do

• Lead the design, operation, and support of enterprise automation capabilities with Ansible and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.
• Build reusable automation workflows for cloud, on-premises, hybrid, and network infrastructure.
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration management solutions with Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, Bicep, and Ansible.
• Create automation scripts, modules, and playbooks using Python, Bash, PowerShell, and YAML.
• Automate network configuration, validation, compliance checks, change execution, and integrations with APIs, source control, inventory, and monitoring systems.
• Improve logging, alerting, operational compliance, documentation, and automation standards while mentoring engineers and collaborating with U.S. and global colleagues.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure automation, cloud operations, network automation, or platform engineering.
• Deep hands-on experience with Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform, and Infrastructure-as-Code tooling.
• Experience leading automation across AWS, Azure, on-premises, or hybrid infrastructure environments.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows systems, networking, APIs, source control, and operational security.
• U.S. person status is required for access to export-controlled information; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Red Hat, AWS, Azure, Cisco, Terraform, or network automation certifications.
• Experience with CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Familiarity with GxP, HIPAA, ISO, or NIST security and compliance frameworks.
• Infrastructure automation experience in life sciences or other regulated environments.
