Physical Design Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA; in-person work required with no remote option

Annual base salary: USD 129,400–207,000, plus discretionary bonus and equity opportunities.

What you will do

• Execute physical design, synthesis, physical verification, and timing closure from RTL to silicon tape-out.
• Set up and synthesize RTL and perform top-level static timing analysis.
• Develop floorplans, layouts, placement and routing, and clock-tree synthesis with skew-balancing techniques.
• Perform EM/IR analysis and optimize physical implementation results.
• Develop physical-design flows and methodologies.
• Collaborate with IC design and RTL engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
• 12+ years of relevant physical-design experience.
• Full physical-design cycle experience from RTL to tape-out.
• Experience with TCL or Perl scripting and related EDA tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in person in Colorado Springs; remote work is not allowed.
