Director, IT (AI)

Location: Tampa, Florida, USA; hybrid office role with regular onsite work from the Tampa (Westchase) office. Candidates must be located in the Tampa area and eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Salary: $140,000–$150,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Own internal identity and access management across Okta and Google Workspace, including SSO, MFA, lifecycle management, onboarding, and offboarding.
• Manage Apple and non-Apple endpoint fleets through Mosyle and JumpCloud, including enrollment, configuration, patching, security tooling, and inventory.
• Own hardware procurement, provisioning, recovery, secure retirement, refresh cycles, asset records, and IT budget management.
• Operate workplace technology in the Tampa office, including Ubiquiti networking, Wi-Fi, access control, cameras, conference room AV, printers, and shared equipment.
• Lead Zendesk service delivery, IT metrics, incident escalation, business continuity, automation, AI ticket deflection, and integrations across the IT stack.
• Operate SOC 2 IT controls, provide audit evidence, support acquisitions, and lead one Senior IT Support Analyst.

Requirements

• 7+ years of IT experience, including 2+ years leading an internal IT function or team.
• Hands-on administration experience with an enterprise identity provider, preferably Okta, including SSO, MFA, and lifecycle management.
• Hands-on Apple MDM experience at fleet scale, preferably Mosyle or Jamf, plus management of non-Apple endpoints.
• Experience with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, hardware asset lifecycle, IT budgets, vendor contracts, software licensing, and secure device retirement.
• Experience operating SOC 2 or comparable IT controls, producing audit evidence, and automating recurring work.
• Must be located in the Tampa, FL area, able to work onsite from the Tampa office, and eligible to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience in a security company or a customer-facing security environment.
• Scripting or automation experience with Python, Google Apps Script, or similar tools.
• Experience with AI tooling, agents, MCP servers, or LLM-assisted ticket deflection.
• Experience integrating acquired companies and familiarity with Zendesk, BambooHR, Ramp, Vanta, or 1Password.
